Philipp Peischl is currently residing in UAE‐Abu Dhabi and working for PKE Gulf WLL. He did his Engineering in Electronics and graduated in 1998. Since that time he is working for PKE for the last 21 years. During this period, he started his career as an electrical engineer, then, got promoted as a Senior Technical Manager and now since 2014, he is the Managing Director of PKE Gulf WLL UAE. During these 21 years of his career, he had the chance to meet a lot of professional people. He experienced a lot of situations at work, some pleasant and some not. He strive to improve himself and to work smarter and wiser.
Carsten joined FRACHT Germany in 2006 has been appointed as Delegate for the FRACHT GROUP in Abu Dhabi the same year.
Born and raised in Northern Germany Carsten Weisner has some background in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, for which he also spent a year abroad in Loughborough, UK to strengthen the English language skills. Later he switched to the shipping industry and certified as Freight Forwarding Agent / Speditionskaufmann with Dacotrans, targeting projects in Maghreb, South Africa, Russia, later with GTC Mashriq and Sudan. For FRACHT he relocated to Abu Dhabi and is taking care of marketing and coordinating their transport business from and to the Middle East; here he supervised transport projects for customers involved with the Shuaibah III power plant and desalination project (in 2009 the largest greenfield independent power and water project and the first in the KSA), or at Fujairah Asia Power Plant (Fujairah F2, UAE), as well as supply and rolling stock projects with Personal Mover Systems (eg trams) and Metro wagons.
Personal interests lie mostly in enjoying culture and traveling, with some parts combining personal life by organizing social activities with business life by being involved in the Executive Board of the Austrian business council, (as well as formerly in the Swiss Business Council).
Pascal Haider is an experienced manager, passionate entrepreneur, motivator, world traveler and father of four children. He holds master's degrees in Business Administration and International Management, where he focused his research on charitable giving. Calling the world his home, his passion for people and the wish to create outstanding value through out of the box concepts has led him from initially working in asset management to take managerial roles in renowned tech and marketing companies. Since then he has founded several companies, has passionately invested in others and currently heads a global marketing & promotion agency, where he serves Fortune 500 companies around the world.
Clemens Daburon is the founder and Managing Partner of Daburon & Partners. He has more than 12 years’ experience in the MEA region, ten of them in Abu Dhabi.
Dr Daburon has a wealth of corporate finance expertise and a proven record of advising key decision-makers on mergers and acquisitions and major commercial contracts. He has advised in transactions in UAE, Oman, Iraq, Egypt and Qatar, across industry sectors such as construction, healthcare and defence, and on cross-border tax issues (including VAT). He has also successfully represented clients in arbitration procedures before the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation Centre, the Dubai International Arbitration Centre and the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority.
He graduated from the University of Economics and Business in Vienna with a degree in international commerce in 2001 and was awarded a degree in law the following year from Vienna University. He received a PhD in international law with distinction from the same institution in 2006. Dr Daburon passed the Austrian bar exam also with distinction in July 2007. He is also qualified to practise law in England and Wales since 2013.
Dr Daburon is the officially appointed “Lawyer of Trust” of the Austrian embassy in Abu Dhabi and a member of the board of the Austrian Business Council in Dubai and of the Executive Committee of the Swiss Business Council in Abu Dhabi.
He is fluent in English, German, French and has basic knowledge of Arabic and Russian. Dr Daburon is “Of Counsel” for Baitulhikma, a local litigation firm with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Salalah and Sohar.
Markus Susilo has 13+ years of experience in the financial services industry in the UAE, other GCC countries and Western Europe. He has supported multinational corporations to establish, restructure and manage the financial and legal compliance of their local presence and to manage their multi-jurisdictional tax compliance. During his assignment in Austria, he has been involved in dealing with VAT compliance requirements from the set-up to the ongoing activities, such as filing return and payment.
Markus Susilo is a Partner who is responsible for the consulting office in DMCC and VAT Service Leader with Crowe. He supports multinational and local companies in the UAE in Free Zones and Onshore in the following areas: International Mobility & Immigration Services, Payroll Administration, Accounting & Indirect Taxes, and Corporate Secretarial Services. He is a trusted tax and business advisor of the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy in the UAE.
Mr. Lootah is reputable Emirati lawyer, author and poet. He is the founder and chairman of Hussain Lootah & Associates.
During his active years as a lawyer, Mr. Lootah was appointed by the UAE government as Deputy Counselor of the Federal National Council between 1984-1996, where he represented the UAE around the world. His ties with Austria had started in 1993 where he represented the UAE at the Human Rights Global Conference in Vienna.
In 1997, he founded Hussain Lootah & Associates which is one of the leading legal consultancy and advocacy firms in the UAE, providing expert legal services to public sector entities, individuals, and private enterprises. HL&A’s extensive regional experience and knowledge of local, national, and international laws supports a wide range of clients in various industries.
