After more than forty years, the UAE has enacted a new labour law. Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 has come into force on 02.02.2022 and has fully replaced the old labour law, i.e. Federal Law No. 8 of 1980. The new labour law has amended, amongst others, the available types of employment contracts and work models as well as details concerning working hours, gratuity, termination and non-compete restrictions. This webinar will clarify important areas of change which both employers and employees alike need to be aware of.
